Our Waste Management System

Our Waste Management System uses a patented process to shred and sterilize infectious waste using saturated steam. Shredding and sterilization both take place inside a single, fully enclosed, automated stainless-steel system, so there’s no intermediate handling of the waste at any stage.

How the Process Works

Contaminated waste is loaded into the upper chamber, where a heavy-duty shredder breaks it down into small pieces. Gravity then moves the shredded material into the lower treatment chamber.

Once inside, the waste and all internal parts of the machine are heated with steam to 138°C (280°F) and pressurized to 3.5 bar (51 psi). This temperature is held at the core of the waste for 10 minutes to achieve full sterilization.

The result is waste that is both sterilized — achieving a 10⁴ reduction in Geobacillus Stearothermophilus spores — and significantly reduced in volume (by up to 80%) and weight (by up to 40%), depending on the type of waste processed.

A full cycle takes about 35 minutes from start to finish and runs fully automated under computerized control. At the end of each cycle, the system automatically prints and records a batch report to a memory card, capturing the key sterilization parameters for accurate record-keeping and compliance.
